I am a member of the actuarial science group in the department. My past works have been on the interface of statistics and actuarial science, especially in risk management, and on applied probability problems originating from computer science and economics. I am currently interested in the extreme value theory sub-area of tail dependence, and am beginning to look at the areas of probabilistic networks and non-asymptotic methods in statistics.
