22S:008 Statistics for Business

To work with the Minitab software on your own computer you will need to create a data disk containing the MTW and Macro folders. (You will also need to purchase the Minitab software.)

Here's how to create the disk:

1. Take a formatted floppy disk to any ITC.
2. Start Minitab as usual.
3. Put your floppy in the disk drive.
4. Using the File>Open Worksheet dialog, navigate to the 22S folder and then the 008 folder on drive K: ("Courses on ...")
5. You will see the Mtw and Macros folders (and a few others).
6. Using the right mouse button, click on the "Macros" or "Mtw" directory according to what you need. (You will need both eventually.)  You'll get a pop-up menu.
7. In this pop-up menu, select the "Send To" item; you'll get another menu.
8. Select "3 1/2 floppy (A)".
9. Wait for the files to copy to your floppy disk.  When done, cancel the File>Open Worksheet dialog.
10. Take your disk when you leave.
