The department will allocate up to $500 for each post-comp Ph.D. student to attend a professional meeting. A request for such an award should be endorsed by the student's advisor. This is intended to be a one-time award; however, in special cases additional awards may be granted. Students who are presenting papers should first exhaust any travel funds available through the university, including the Graduate Student Senate. Students should be prepared to give a report on the benefits of their trips.
MS students and pre-comp Ph.D. students presenting papers may apply for travel support from the department. Requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Students should first exhaust any travel funds available through the university or through supporting grants.
