Undergraduate students are admitted to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences on the basis of three criteria: completion of a set of high school unit requirements, high school class rank or college transfer grade-point average (GPA), and ACT/SAT results, or a combination of high school/college records and standardized test scores.
Incoming students interested in Actuarial Science should initially declare their majors to be Pre-Actuarial Science (22R), and then follow the selective admissions guidelines in the Actuarial Science undergraduate program. Students majoring in Statistics (22B) concentrate on one of three emphasis tracks explained in the Statistics undergraduate program.
