Tenure-track Assistant Professors of Statistics Applications are invited for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Statistics at The University of Iowa starting August 2010. Applicants must show promise of excellence in scholarly research and teaching, as well as interest in research collaboration. Research interests compatible with those of current faculty members are desirable. These include modern computational statistics, statistical genetics, spatial statistics, Bayesian inference, time series, categorical data analysis, and bioinformatics. Opportunities abound for interdisciplinary research in medicine and public health, economics, environmental sciences, engineering, law and justice, and other areas. Statistics Search Committee The Department currently has 18 tenured and tenure-track faculty, including 9 Fellows of the American Statistical Association. The Ph.D. degree is offered in statistics, and the B.S. and M.S. degrees in both actuarial science and statistics.
