Add a Minor for Statistics

The graduate “minor” examination in statistics is offered to graduate students enrolled in non-departmental programs which require proficiency in the area of statistics.

This three-hour exam covers topics presented in STAT:4100-4101 Mathematical Statistics I-II. The examination is offered annually during the week before classes begin in August.

Before Aug. 1, students should sign up in 241 Schaeffer Hall (SH) by providing their UI#, advisor name, and home department. Study guides are available. Students who do not succeed the first time they take the examination may repeat it once the following year.  Results are transmitted to the student’s academic advisor within two weeks of the examination.
