The Principal Financial Group Foundation has generously provided a student scholarship to the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science for over 15 years. Since 1983, the department has awarded full-time in-state tuition to the scholarship recipient. Students who have received these scholarships have been most appreciative of the funds. These awards help them concentrate on their studies and become successful actuaries. Each year, these students have met with representatives from the Principal Financial Group during on-campus actuarial recruiting. Based upon current academic record and success on exams, the student recipient will be selected prior to each academic year by the department.
