Overview

I am a lecturer and statistical consultant in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Iowa. I teach both undergraduate and graduate statistics courses. Each spring I teach a statistical consulting course to our Master's students which connects me with researchers, mainly through data analysis projects.

Data Exploration

Such as the investigation of associations between tax increment financing (TIF) and racial demographics of neighborhoods (TIF values represented by both size and color of points).

Or investigating skull thicknesses for young, middle-aged, or older individuals.

Traditional Analyses

We also work with many traditional statistical analyses in the consulting course such as regression, correlation, logistic regression, ANOVA, and split-plot designs.
